If you have a video file which is 720:50p what is the frame rate and what does the p stand for?

The P stands for progressive ,meaning it is being produced as the film goes, this stops any error occurring in the video. the frame rate would be 50fps.


What is the difference between P and I?

P is progressive and I is interlaced, the difference between these two is that Interlaced just shows the lines in order to create the picture however Progressive shows the whole image in 1/60th of a second.
