Depict 90 second Film Initial Ideas

Initial Idea Post

Our first thoughts for our 90 second short film are that it is going to be based upon a game of Monopoly, there will be 4 characters and our props that we will use will include a monopoly board, a table and a set of chairs. All 4 characters will be playing the game for some of the short film but one of the characters will leave and then a standoff will happen. We plan to do a range of shots including a slow motion shot and also close up shots, there will be some dialogue throughout the film but the majority of it will be during the first 30-40 seconds. Matthew will be wearing a suit as a costume and  Charlotte will be wearing a Black dress to ensure the atmosphere stays formal, we will be using 3 Prop guns because there will be a standoff where everyone gets out of their chairs and aims at each other.  We will be shooting in the __________ in our college and will be using Canon 700D to shoot the film and will be using tripods and lighting (if possible).

I really enjoy this short film because of its production quality and the loose story line, the establishing shot zooms in on the to show how they are in am dominant position, I also really like the way everyone acts in the short film because even though each character gets a few lines each you  can tell their position in the family, for example the stereotypical Teenager with her phone and the overprotective father. It gives a very relate able atmosphere for most viewers and was overall a well put together short film. The way the Camera was used to pan around the table and show all of the conversations was done very well and I think that it was used in a very fluid manner
